It’s not over yet though; though the game was only recently released, the first piece of DLC has already been detailed. Here’s everything you need to know about the Spider-Man: City Never Sleeps DLC.

Spider-Man: City Never Sleeps DLC release date

Days before Spider-Man was released on the PS4, Insomniac Games revealed the first details about City Never Sleeps, including a release schedule for the episodic DLC.  The DLC is split into three episodes, all set for release before the end of 2018. The good news is that you don’t have to wait very long to play the first, as it’s due out next month. The first episode, entitled The Heist, is set to be released on 23 October 2018, followed by Turf Wars in November 2018 and Silver Lining in December 2018. Once Insomniac reveals specific release dates for episodes two and three, we’ll be sure to update this section.

Spider-Man: City Never Sleeps DLC pre-orders

You can pre-order the City Never Sleeps DLC right now, ahead of release in October. You can pre-order the entire three-part City Never Sleeps DLC for £15.99/$24.99 from GAME in the UK or the PlayStation Store, but that’s not all. If £15.99/$24.99 is a little much, Insomniac Games has confirmed that all three episodes will be available to buy individually upon release. They’ll be cheaper at $9.99 a pop (UK pricing TBC), but if you’re going to get all three, it’s cheaper just to buy the full DLC.

Spider-Man: City Never Sleeps DLC gameplay details

So, what should we expect from the City Never Sleeps DLC? As mentioned above, the DLC is split into three instalments, with the first said to focus on master thief and occasional love interest, Black Cat. Players will have already found clues about Black Cat’s presence in New York in the base game, but Spidey was always too slow to catch her. The Heist will see the infamous villain finally reveal herself to Spider-Man, featuring not only new missions and challenges, but a new faction of enemies to take on and three new suits to unlock. That should tide you through to November, when Turf Wars is set to be released. Insomniac Games hasn’t revealed anything about what it’ll include, but the name suggests we could see the return of crime-boss Wilson Fisk.   Silver Lining is set to wrap up the year, and though details are yet to be revealed, it’s safe to assume that it’ll be focused on multi-millionaire and all-round badass Sliver Sable.  We’ll update this article as soon as new details about the DLC are announced, so check back regularly for the latest Spider-Man DLC news.  Lewis Painter is a Senior Staff Writer at Tech Advisor. Our resident Apple expert, Lewis covers everything from iPhone to AirPods, plus a range of smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming hardware.
