What is Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights?
Before we go into detail about how you can use Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights, let’s first explain what it does. Nvidia launched ShadowPlay Highlights in early 2017, and offered a way for developers to integrate the functionality which captures key moments – like double or triple kills on PUBG – and saves them for sharing with friends and family. Perfect for those unplanned epic moments when you weren’t using your game recording equipment! The best part is that the functionality is fully automated. The best moments of your game are identified and captured automatically, from the completion of achievements to the defeat of tough bosses and even high kill streaks, it all depends on the game. This allows you to concentrate on what’s most important: the gameplay. Once the game is finished, you’ll be presented with the automatically captured clips in the form of a carosel via the GeForce Experience overlay. You can easily share the best via social media and delete the rest to save precious hard drive space. The only downside? Somewhat obviously, Nvidia’s ShadowPlay Highlights requires GeForce Experience for PC, which in turn requires a Nvidia-powered GPU. While the technology is a breakthrough for those that want to share epic moments of gameplay with friends online, the list of supported games isn’t very long right now. In fact, at the time of writing, only two games support Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights:

How do I use Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights?
So, if you’ve got a compatible Nvidia graphics card and a compatible game installed, how do you use Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights? First up, make sure you’re running the latest version of Nvidia GeForce Experience along with the latest GPU drivers. You should also make sure that the GeForce Experience In-Game Overlay is enabled in the GeForce Experience Settings menu, along with the Highlights functionality (press Alt+Z when in-game and go to Settings cog > Highlights). Oh, and for some reason, if you’re playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you’ll also need to enable Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights from the Graphics Settings menu. You can also set storage limits so your highlights don’t take up all the space on your HDD.
