One of the features of Microsoft’s Windows 8 was an ‘immersive’, app-like version of its browser Internet Explorer, which made quite a few changes. A major example of these changes was the decision to move the address bar from its traditional place at the top of the screen to the bottom. How to move the address bar to the bottom in Internet Explorer: Step One
Open Internet Explorer. Chances are it will open on the traditional Windows desktop. That’s no problem. Open the settings menu (the cog to the top-right) and click on the ‘Internet Options’ heading.
Navigate to the programs tab, and under the ‘Opening Internet Explorer’ heading, click ‘Make Internet Explorer the default browser’.
How to move the address bar to the bottom in Internet Explorer: Step Two
This will open a Control Panel window. Select Internet Explorer from the programs list, and select ‘Set this program as default’.
Click OK on both settings windows, and close Internet Explorer.

Reopen Internet Explorer from its Start screen tile, and you should be faced with the ‘immersive’ version of Explorer, complete with a bottom-located address bar.
