Steps to install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy M30s:
In this guide, we’ll use two methods for flashing the custom recovery.
Method 1: ADB & fastboot
Step 1: Download the ADB setup. Step 2: Install these downloaded ADB and fastboot drivers on your PC. Step 3: Download TWRP.img. Step 4: Copy this twrp.img file to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB & fastboot drivers). Then you’ll see these files in the ADB folder:
Step 5: Connect your mobile to PC through USB cable. Step 6: On the PC, open C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder, hold the Shift button, and right mouse click on a space. You’ll see a list of options from which select the Open command window here option. This will launch the cmd window as given below.
Step 7: Type the following command in the cmd window and press enter: adb devices As soon as you press enter, a message saying ‘List of devices attached’ will popup. This will confirm that your phone is successfully connected to the PC.
Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen, then again install Samsung USB drivers as well as ADB drivers. If the problem persists, refer to our guide: Step 8: Type the following command to boot Galaxy M30s into fastboot mode. adb reboot bootloader
Step 9: To confirm whether fastboot is functional or not, type the following command: fastboot devices
Note: Some random numbers along with the ‘List of devices attached’ message will confirm that fastboot is functional. Step 10: Let’s install TWRP recovery on Galaxy M30s now. For doing the same, type the below command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
This will start the Samsung Galaxy M30s TWRP recovery installation process. It will finish within a few minutes. Finally! This is how you can install TWRP recovery on Galaxy M30s using ADB and fastboot commands.
Method 2: Odin Tool
Step 1: Download the Odin tool. Step 2: Download TWRP recovery tar.md5. Step 3: Power off Galaxy M30s and reboot it into download mode. Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen, then re-install Samsung USB drivers. Or you may change the USB cable and the USB port. Step 7: Furthermore, tick the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options.
Note: Do not tick Re-partition, Nand Erase, or any other options. Step 8: Now click the AP button and select the downloaded TWRP recovery.tar.md5 file.
Step 9: let’s start the TWRP recovery Samsung Galaxy M30s flashing process now. For doing the same, click the Start button present on Odin.
Be patient and wait until the TWRP recovery Galaxy M30s installation process completes. As soon as it finishes, the ID: COM section will turn green with a Pass message as shown below.
