Piunikaweb first reported the rollout, labelled 55.1.A.0.748 for the Xperia 1. It’s notable for its prompt timing in comparison to huge OEMs like Samsung and LG who are always so slow to update their smartphones when a new Android version comes around. Granted, Samsung is getting better at it this year.  Sony has fallen from grace in recent years in the smartphone market, with slowing sales after a fairly repetitive six month handset update cycle. But the Xperia XZ3 was part of the Android 10 beta program, and it looks like it has meant Sony has accelerated its Android 10 roll out. The XZ2 and XZ3 series should get Android very soon. But some users are saying the update has affected use, with  one saying it broke cellular connectivity. Usually these updates are only put live when they are bulletproof, but you might want to wait just in case.
